BLACK SKIN BLACK TEA

In honor of Black History month, Just Be curated a Black tea blend with vanilla notes called Black Excellence.

This crafty blend is personified by the willingness of 3 black females who saw the need for a black wellness space and created the brand we see today.

It’s Black excellence that drives us to exist in spaces that often discriminate and neglect our experience. Through wellness, politics, fashion, beauty, and more; our persistence to be heard in these creates room for us to exist unapologetically.

And though the U.S. recognizes our accomplishments for one month. We know the history of Black Excellence extends beyond 28 days. We are truly our ancestors' wildest dreams. With every odd stacked against us, we push to overcome them and stand bold in our resilience.

We’ve seen Amanda Gorman recite “The Hill We Climb” at the inauguration, Kamala Harris sworn in as the first Black female Vice President, and Nia Dennis slay her floor routine against Arizona State all in the name of Black Excellence. Time and time again we show the world that our existence is more than the monolithic narrative society has forced on us.

I am reminded of a quote by Nikki Giovanni: Black Style has a profound meaning to Black Americans. If we can’t drive, we will invent walks and the world will envy the dexterity of our feet. If we can’t have ham, we will boil chitterlings; if we are given rotten peaches, we will make cobblers; if given scraps, we will make quilts; take away our drums, and we will clap our hands. We prove the human spirit will prevail. We will take what we have to make what we need. We need confidence in our knowledge of who we are.

Happy Black History Month!!!!!!
